Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki continues to impress fans, and its box office performance is proof of its success.
To say that Shah Rukh Khan has seen a stellar year at the box office is an understatement. Even though Dunki, his first film with Raj Kumar Hirani, is in all likelihood going to fall short of the box office success of his previous two films in the year – Pathaan and Jawan.
Pathaan which was released in January is estimated to have been made on a budget of over Rs 200 crore. According to Sacnilk data, the movie starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Ashutosh Rana, and Salman Khan in a cameo role, along with SRK, earned Rs 1,055 crore worldwide.
Shah Rukh Khan’s other big hit Jawan, starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Riddhi Dogra, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Leher Khan, Sunil Grover and Sanjay Dutt broke innumerable records in the box office. According to Sacnilk data, the movie earned Rs 1,160 crore.
‘Dunki’ is based on the concept of donkey flight, an illegal immigration technique. This film also stars Vicky Kaushal in a special appearance, along with Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover. The script of Dunki is penned by Rajkumar, who co-wrote it with Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon.
On Thursday, the makers of ‘Dunki’ hosted a special screening of the movie for consulates of various nations in Mumbai. Representatives from various nations, including Hungary, USA, UK, Welsh, Belgium, Germany, Australia, France, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Swiss, Spain, Turkey, Israel, South Korea, Finland, Mauritius, Oman and the Netherlands attended the screening, along with director Rajkumar Hirani.
Dunki Box Office Collection Hits 300 Crore Worldwide
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki continues to impress fans, and its box office performance is proof of its success. Within a week, the film has surpassed the ₹ 150-crore mark. On day 9, the debut collaboration between SRK and Rajkumar Hirani earned ₹ 7.25 crore (across all languages), according to a Sacnilk report. So far, the film, which also stars Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani, has collected ₹167.47 crore at the domestic box office. Dunki is also making waves at the global box office. As per a post shared by Red Chillies Entertainment on Instagram, SRK’s film has amassed ₹ 323.77 crore globally.

Even as Dunki clashed with Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire which seems to have had a strong head-start in terms of box office collections, the film is likely to stay on in theatres till the next big release.
